Community
Each of our sites and businesses recognises the importance of being a good neighbour and contributing to the community in which it operates.
As well as supporting communities by encouraging local employment and careers and by using local facilities, all BBA Aviation businesses - through employees and on a more formal basis - play an active role in a variety of local, regional and national organisations and charities.
In 2010 we launched our Community Involvement and Charitable Giving Framework and charitable giving programme. This new, structured approach, is intended to lend strength and scale to the efforts already made by our businesses and sites at a local level and make a real and sustainable difference to initiatives within our industry and to the communities in which our employees live and work.
Under the BBA Aviation charitable giving programme employees or sites can, on behalf of a charity or not for profit organisation, apply to the BBA Aviation Charitable Giving Committee for a donation. Priority is given to organisations with a strong local connection to our sites and/or those connected with aviation, engineering or education.
