corporate social responsibility

BBA Aviation CSR policies promote fair and ethical dealings with customers and competitors as a matter of law and of sound, common business sense. A CSR Steering Committee leads our social responsibility practices and policies, which are contained in the BBA Aviation Legal Policies Manual, distributed to all our senior managers.

Our policies cover Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Ethics, Disclosure of Unethical Conduct, Competition Law Compliance, Data Protection and Privacy, Gifts, Business Courtesies, Gratuities and Favours, Market Abuse and Inside Information Policies. And our Equal Opportunity and Anti-Harassment policies call for the fair and equitable treatment of all employees regardless of age, race, religion, nationality, sex, marital status or disability, without fear of harassment.

The performance of our business managers is partly measured on their compliance with our key policies within their operations.

Two primary aims of BBA Aviation are to ensure that our employees benefit from a safe and productive working environment and that we operate our businesses in a way that continuously improves our relationship with employees, customers, neighbours and the environment.

Since 1996 we have maintained and expanded our Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) function, setting guidelines and goals for all of our companies. We monitor our companies' performance against a number of demanding HS&E Standards that deal with staffing, organisation, training, auditing, accident investigation, stewardship, continuous improvement and reporting.

We participate in the Business in the Environment (BiE) study. Our most recent responses to this survey reflected improvement to our monitoring of energy usage, wastes and emissions.

For more information please see the latest BiE's feedback report to BBA Aviation.
