The BBA Aviation Executive Management Committee has ten members who are responsible for the operational management of the Company and for implementing the Board's decisions.
Simon Pryce
Chief Executive Officer
He was appointed to the Board as Chief Executive Officer in June 2007. He spent 9 years at GKN plc in senior corporate finance, financial and international operational roles, latterly as Chief Executive of GKN's Diversified Businesses Group. Prior to joining GKN he held several senior positions in mergers and acquisitions at JP Morgan and Lazards in London and New York. He is a qualified chartered accountant.
Andrew Wood
Group Finance Director
He was appointed to the Board as Group Finance Director in January 2001. A chartered management accountant, he was formerly Group Finance Director of Racal Electronics plc.
Bruce Van Allen
President, BBA Aviation Flight Support
He was appointed to the Board in May 2002. He joined Signature in 1993 and has held various posts since that date, including his current position, President of BBA Aviation Flight Support.
Gary Fisher
Group HR Director
He joined BBA Aviation in February 2007. His background includes a highly successful career with Racal Electronics and running his own business. He has undertaken VP level assignments for critical issue projects in organisations such as Bechtel, Marconi, Duracell, the Etex Group and Gate Gourmet.
Sarah Shaw
Group Secretary
She joined BBA in May 1997 as Group Secretary. A solicitor, she has held legal and company secretarial positions with several large public companies.
Jim Gerwien
President, Component, Repair & Overhaul
He joined BBA in late February 2006 with the acquisition of Ontic, which he has lead since October 2002. He is currently President of Component, Repair & Overhaul, which includes Ontic. Prior to joining Ontic he held senior management and engineering positions in several aerospace and technology companies in the U.S., including GE, Lockheed Martin and Eaton.
Dave Haslam
Division Managing Director, APPH Group
He is a Chartered Engineer who joined the Group in 1989 having previously held various senior positions in the automotive industry. He is currently Division Managing Director of APPH Group.
Hugh McElroy
President, Engine Repair & Overhaul
He was appointed President of Engine Repair & Overhaul in June 2005 immediately prior to that holding the position of President and CEO BBA Engine Services. He is a long-time senior executive of DAI having served as Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Millville, NJ facility since its acquisition from UNC (a division of General Electric) in 1999 and prior to that President of Airwork Corporation.
Ian Simm
Group General Counsel
He joined BBA Aviation in April 2007. He undertook his legal training with Slaughter and May and worked for a number of years in their corporate and commercial group. In 1997 he joined P&O, where he advanced to the role of General Counsel for P&O Ports.
Mark Johnstone
Corporate Development Director
He joined BBA Aviation in March 2008 from GKN plc where he had worked since 2002, most recently as Finance Director for the Off Highway Division and prior to that as Director, Mergers and Acquisitions in GKN's Aerospace Division. Previous to GKN, Mark worked as a director of an independent mezzanine capital fund and in the transport sector of Deloitte and Touche Corporate Finance. Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
