The BBA Aviation Executive Management Committee has 11 members who are responsible for the operational management of the Company and for implementing the Board's decisions.
Simon Pryce
Chief Executive Officer
He was appointed to the Board as Chief Executive Officer in June 2007. He spent 9 years at GKN plc in senior corporate finance, financial and international operational roles, latterly as Chief Executive of GKN's Diversified Businesses Group. Prior to joining GKN he held several senior positions in mergers and acquisitions at JP Morgan and Lazards in London and New York. He is a qualified chartered accountant.
Andrew Wood
Group Finance Director
He was appointed to the Board as Group Finance Director in January 2001. A chartered management accountant, he was formerly Group Finance Director of Racal Electronics plc.
Bruce Van Allen
Group Marketing Director
Appointed Group Marketing Director, BBA Aviation in January 2009. A 35 year aviation industry veteran who joined Signature in 1993 and held a number of positions including President of Signature Flight Support and later President of BBA Aviation Flight Support. A graduate of Barry College and an active private pilot.
Mark Hoad
Group Financial Controller
He joined BBA Aviation in May 2005 from RMC Group plc where he had worked since 1996 in a number of finance roles both domestically and overseas. This included periods in Germany, Croatia and latterly Australia, where he was Chief Financial Officer of ASX-listed company Adelaide Brighton. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Michael Scheeringa
President, Signature Flight Support
He joined BBA Aviation in January 2009 from Flight Options LLC, where latterly he was Chief Executive Officer. He has a deep understanding of the global business and general aviation industry with strategic and customer focus and will provide strong and supportive leadership to Signature globally.
Keith Ryan
President and Chief Operating Officer, ASIG
He was appointed President of ASIG in 2001 and has over 25 years of experience in the aviation services industry and was formerly Vice President of Operations for Signature Flight Support. As President and COO he is responsible for the strategic planning and financial success of ASIG's 65 plus airport operations throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Martin Filippides
Group HR Director
He joined BBA Aviation in October 2008. He has spent the majority of his career in senior HR roles with various large pharmaceutical companies both in the UK and in the US. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Biotechnology and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Zillah Stone
Group Secretary
She joined BBA's company secretariat in July 2006 in an interim role and was appointed Group Secretary in September 2008. She is a solicitor and Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators with experience gained in a variety of legal and company secretarial roles in the shipping, building materials, support services and house building sectors in London and Hong Kong.
Mike Askew
Managing Director, APPH Group
He joined BBA Aviation in January 2010. He has spent his career in the aerospace industry and was previously Divisional Managing Director of the Aerospace division of Doncasters. Prior to joining Doncasters he held a number of senior positions in the Westland Group, including Director and General Manager of Westland Transmissions. He holds a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Hugh McElroy
President, Engine Repair & Overhaul
He was appointed President of Engine Repair & Overhaul in June 2005 immediately prior to that holding the position of President and CEO BBA Engine Services. He is a long-time senior executive of DAI having served as Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Millville, NJ facility since its acquisition from UNC (a division of General Electric) in 1999 and prior to that President of Airwork Corporation.
Peg Billson
President, Legacy Support
She joined BBA Aviation in September 2009. She has spent her career designing, developing, building, supporting, and/or selling aircraft and aircraft components with two very large global aerospace businesses and, latterly, with an aerospace start-up. She holds a BS and MS in Aero Engineering and is a current instrument rated private pilot.
Iain Simm
Group General Counsel
He joined BBA Aviation in April 2007. He undertook his legal training with Slaughter and May and worked for a number of years in their corporate and commercial group. In 1997 he joined P&O, where he advanced to the role of General Counsel for P&O Ports.
