BBA Group PLC Announces Addition of PW300 and PW500 Support to Engine Services Portfolio
Dallas Airmotive Subsidiary Appointed Designated
Overhaul Facility By Pratt & Whitney Canada
London July 19, 2004 -- BBA Aviation Services Group today announced that its Dallas Airmotive subsidiary's Dallas, Texas facility has been appointed a Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in North America by Pratt & Whitney Canada to support the manufacturer's PW300 and PW500 series turbofan engines.
Complete overhaul and repair service for the popular and fast growing PW300 and PW500 engine lines will be provided. The company will also offer hot section inspection and line maintenance services for both model engines through its worldwide network of Regional Turbine Centres as well as field service and rental engine support.
Dallas Airmotive has also received approval to service PW300 and PW500 engines enrolled in Pratt & Whitney Canada's ESP® (Eagle Service Plan) hourly engine maintenance service program and will work cooperatively with Pratt & Whitney Canada to support the program.
Pratt & Whitney Canada PW300 and PW500 turbofan engines power a wide and impressive array of aircraft serving the business aviation and fractional ownership markets. The PW300 is currently installed on the Citation Sovereign, Falcon 2000EX, Gulfstream 200, Hawker 1000, Hawker Horizon and Learjet 60, while the PW500 powers Citation Bravo, Encore and Excel model aircraft.
Combined, there are nearly 1,200 PW300 and PW500 powered aircraft currently in service (1) worldwide with strong growth forecast as the production and delivery of these aircraft continue.
Dallas Airmotive and Pratt & Whitney Canada have a long history of collaboration on engine programs and services dating back to early 1950s. Today, in addition to the PW300 and PW500, Dallas Airmotive and its affiliates are also a Designated Overhaul Facility for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, PT6T, JT15D, PW100 series engines and PW901 model auxiliary power unit.
