BBA Aviation ERO field service

Being local to your customers and able to respond quickly and effectively to their needs is vital in the time critical aviation business.

Keeping planes flying and minimising downtime is a key priority for BBA Aviation ERO’s customers; enabling them to stay on schedule and to limit costs. Expanding the network and adding Mobile Response vehicles to serve the busiest locations gives us greater reach and allows us to support our customers as they move around the world.’

Hugh McElroy, President, BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul

During 2009, BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul expanded significantly its network of regional turbine centres and field service technicians, in line with the growing international requirements of its customers.

Dallas Airmotive now operates 12 regional turbine centres and employs more than 100 field service technicians - some of whom are based in the emerging markets of South Africa, India and Brazil. Field service technicians are licensed professional technicians with training and the depth of experience needed to respond to the widest variety of situations. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provide a fast, reliable and efficient on site service to customers and their planes, wherever and whenever they are needed.

The business also operates three Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Mobile Response vehicles in the US - which are dispatched on demand to customers at airports in the Northeast, Southeast and Southern California regions. The 24-hour response units are customised for each trip, allowing the field service teams on board to act quickly and effectively, providing a range of OEM authorised services from on site APU hot section inspection to engine removal and replacement. A fourth AOG Mobile Response vehicle will be added in the Midwestern USA (St. Louis) in June of 2011.

Dallas Airmotive’s AOG Mobile Response Vehicle operating out of New Jersey supports customers at airports up and down the east coast of the USA. These include airports with some of the highest concentrations of business jets in the world:

  • Teterboro (TEB)
  • White Plains (HPN)
  • Morristown (MMU)
  • Farmingdale (FRG)
  • Islip (ISP)
  • Philadelphia International (PHL)
