ASIG is the world’s leading independent refueller with operations at more than 70 airports worldwide. It delivers safely ground support services to commercial airlines including refuelling, baggage handling, equipment maintenance and de-icing with considerable technical expertise through its well trained staff.
ASIG’s reach, technical capability and its reputation for superior service, safety and value has enabled it to win both system wide agreements to support individual airlines at a range of locations and location specific contracts where it provides services to individual airlines and consortia at large airports.
Over time, ASIG has chosen to focus its operations on large international and regional hub airports with high numbers of commercial aircraft movements. At the same time, it has expanded its range of services into areas where it can achieve technical advantage and/or create value. ASIG fuels approximately 10,000 flights per day and has operations at 37 of the top 100 hub and international airports.
2010 highlights
- Won new contracts to provide various services at 4 UK airports.
- Through acquisition of SAS Ground Services UK gained access to the passenger and ground handling markets at London Heathrow and Aberdeen airports.
- Signed new 5 year contract with Walt Disney World to provide 20 area resorts and hotels and two cruise ships with luggage logistic services in Orlando.
- Gained 20 year licence to provide complete fuel services at Tocumen International Airport, Panama.
