Engine Repair and Overhaul
BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) is a leading independent engine repair service provider to the B&GA market. ERO has strong and established relationships with all engine OEMs and is authorised to work on 80% of engines in the B&GA fleet as well as engines used in government, military and commercial aircraft.
ERO operates 4 major engine overhaul facilities, 12 regional turbine centres and has more than 100 service and support professionals in the field, enabling it to offer 24 hour technical support to customers and their engines wherever they are in its key markets of North America and Europe. In recent years, ERO has widened its reach to include the growing B&GA markets of South Africa, the Middle East, India and Brazil. ERO has a global network of more than 5,500 customers and processes more than 2,500 engines annually.
2010 highlights
- Opened F1RST SUPPORT centre at Dallas Airmotive, providing real-time tracking of aircraft, engine assets and personnel to deliver ultra fast response to customers' aircraft on ground situations.
- Renewed PW901 authorisation and added capabilities to support the PW901C.
- Awarded Americas exclusive repair authorisation for the GE M601 turbo prop engine.
- Awarded Honeywell authorisation for the Asia Pacific region. The Honeywell authorisation covers major periodic inspections for TFE731 as well as additional line maintenance services to the existing regional Honeywell service network for APU and engine products.

Management
BBA Aviation's ERO companies - Dallas Airmotive, H+S Aviation, Premier Turbines, International Turbine Service, International Governor Services and Barrett Turbine Engine Company - are managed as a group under President, Hugh McElroy with a head office based in Grapevine, Texas. Hugh McElroy is a member of BBA Aviation's Executive Management Committee.
