In the tax year ending 5 April 2007, the annual subscription allowance is £7,000 of which a maximum of £3,000 can be held as cash. In the tax year beginning 6 April 2007, the annual subscription allowance will be £7,000 of which a maximum of £3,000 can be held in cash.
